Our story
At the heart of our establishment lies the story of Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care, a vision brought to life in the spring of 2018 by the dedicated hands of Dr. Sheila Erickson. Drawing upon her extensive experience as a local Emergency Veterinarian, she identified a pressing need for accessible, compassionate, and affordable urgent veterinary care within our community.
Having witnessed the challenges faced by pet owners in need of immediate care, left with limited options by the pace of traditional veterinary day practices struggling to keep up with our ever-growing population, Dr. Erickson, a woman with a passion for animal well-being, embarked on a mission to bridge this crucial gap. Thus, Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care was born. This clinic started with only 6 staff members and now has over 60 staff members.
Our hospital stands as a testament to Dr. Erickson's dedication to providing a solution - a facility, woven into the fabric of our community and supported by both our region and a network of local referring practices. Here at Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care, we take pride in our roots as a business with a profound love for animals.
