A proud Tri-Cities native, Dr. Kirby brings both local roots and specialized expertise to the Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care & Veterinary Center team. Her warm, partnership-based approach to care ensures that every pet and family feels heard, supported, and well-cared-for.

Education and Professional Background:

Dr. Kirby earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022, where she also completed her undergraduate studies. Her lifelong love of animals and dedication to the human-animal bond guided her path into veterinary medicine, and she has been committed to excellence in patient care since the start of her career.

Dr. Kirby holds a Level 2 Senior Dog Certification through the Senior Dog Veterinary Society, reflecting her specialized training in geriatric canine care. This advanced certification underscores her dedication to the growing field of senior pet medicine and her commitment to ongoing professional development.

Professional Interests:

Dr. Kirby's professional interests include senior care, dentistry, and preventive medicine. She is especially passionate about supporting aging pets and helping them maintain the highest possible quality of life. Her focus on proactive, personalized care allows her to partner with families in building long-term health plans tailored to each individual pet.

Personal Statement:

Hobbies/Interests:

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kirby enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and paddle boarding. She loves spending time with her dogs, Remus and Fawkes, and recently returned from an adventure in Costa Rica where she went zip lining with her husband, Jack. Her favorite colors are purple and dark green — and her enthusiasm for life outside the clinic is matched only by her enthusiasm for the work she does inside it.
