Horse Heaven Hills Pet Urgent Care and Veterinary Center (H3PUC), founded in 2018 by Dr. Sheila Erickson, provides same-day urgent care for all pets, including exotics, as well as comprehensive general practice services. Our locally owned, 10,000 sq. ft. facility includes:
10 exam rooms, an isolation ward, and two comfort rooms
State-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment equipment, including digital radiography, Vimago CT, therapeutic laser, and a dedicated dental suite
Extensive in-house pharmacy and bilingual Spanish-speaking services

Essential Duties
Perform comprehensive physical exams and obtain accurate histories
Develop diagnostic plans and interpret results
Prescribe medications, therapies, and follow-up care
Perform surgical and dental procedures with patient comfort and safety in mind
Maintain accurate, thorough records in Shepherd
Lead and support the medical team with professionalism
Educate clients on diagnoses, prognoses, treatment, and preventive care
Collaborate with technicians and assistants for efficient patient care
Participate in CE, case discussions, and team meetings
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited program
Valid Washington State Veterinary License in good standing
High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 40 lbs and perform active movements (standing, walking, bending)
Manual dexterity for equipment operation and data entry
Occasional exposure to chemicals, radiation, and moderate noise
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Model: Base salary $80,000 – $100,000 or commission (hybrid model, whichever is higher)
Schedule: Minimum 32 hours/week, flexible scheduling available
CE Support: $3,000 annual CE allowance + 40 hours CE PTO
PTO Accrual: ~40 hours annually
